PREPARES TO MOVE INTO TRADITION SQUARE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Monday, January 26, 2010) Port St. Lucie, FL –The events producers and their team begin to move into Tradition Square today.  The trucks are loaded with Banfi wine barrels, over 1,000 pounds of sausage, and red, white and green bunting and fringe that will align the streets.  The Tradition Taste of Little Italy is the largest street festival of its kind on the Treasure Coast brining people to Port St. Lucie from over four counties wide.

The fun begins this Friday, January 29th at 3pm. Admission is $5 for adults and children 12 and under are free. 
There will be over 75 vendors selling the most authentic food dishes from baked ziti to delicious pastries. This is the place to be for the best shopping for jewelry, Italian novelties, crafts and much more!

The AT&T entertainment stage kicks off Friday with the opening ceremony featuring the Grand Marshall Gianni Russo, Port St. Lucie High School color guard, local council members as well as the Vice Mayor, Jack Kelly at 6:15pm.  Larry Chance & The Earls will headline Friday evening at 8pm. Saturday the fun continues with Gianni Russo performing the best of Sinatra at 8pm, then Sunday to close out the three day festival are The Legends of Doo Wop on stage at 5:45pm following the Johnny V Lasagna eating and pizza eating contests.

Don’t miss the all new Caffé Borghetti, a traditional Italian coffee bar including cappuccino, espresso, and liqueurs.  The newly expanded NY Mets Kids Zone filled with carnival rides will light up the sky for the entire family to enjoy.

Event producers will be making a donation to the local Mako Soccer Club of Port St. Lucie as their chosen charity. The Mako Soccer Club is a program that emphasized youth development in a family friendly environment. The donation will assist the club with various youth programs including their scholarship program enabling young children the opportunity to play soccer.

The Red Cross will also be in attendance attending out information for those who want to help people in need as well as collecting relief funds for the families in Haiti

Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets this weekend to the Tradition Taste of Little Italy where there is something for everyone!
